All babies eventually turn one. Anywhere you see kid stuff for sale, there will be an amazing array of items for sale to celebrate babies first birthdays.
But this is MY baby's first birthday!
I made found homemade Mickey decorations and bought them online. He absolutely LOVES his Mickey and had a great time in Disney earlier this year, so it was a good fit for the birthday boy. Anyone that know me knows I am not a party planner ... I was a bit concerned when we picked up the decorations on a very wet and rainy Saturday afternoon. I pulled them out the day before the party and was amazed at how festive the party room (aka - the dining room) looked.

In line with Jacob's birth (the great ice storm of 2014), due to a snow storm we had to change the date of his party so all the grandparents from out of town could attend - worth it! The party was moved from Saturday to Sunday. Pa and Grandma D. drove up from Baton Rouge, Emaw and Palp were able to drive in from Nashville, and Papa John and Uncle J. after a horrible flight experience made it in from Delaware. Me'Me' was already in Fayetteville to help plan the party. Cousin Missy and Sage came in from Missouri and Chase drove down the hill from the UofA campus.

| Beautiful Emaw. Does she look like she has been in the car for 10 hours??! |
 |
| Palp - probably running from the camera ;-) |
 |
| The DeLozier Crew |
 |
| Delaware family |
Sweet friends joined in on the celebration too. The Mocks came to celebrate, The Culp-King crew and the Milburns. We are sooo blessed to have such amazing friends - that also happen to have little ones the same age as Jacob ;)

| Love this face! |
 |
| Dear friends Ashlea and Lilah. |
 |
| School buddies! Love our Bonnie, Thomas and Ethan! |
 |
| Best neighbors we could ask for - Avery and Will (Ruth Ellen was a basketball!). |
Jacob loved all of the gifts, but most of all, he will look back on these pictures and know he is loved.
Happy birthday sweet boy!
Sounds like a wonderful day.
